What is
Probe?
Probe is the best Stratego clone in the known universe.
It finished undefeated in the 2007 Computer Stratego
World Championships.
Probe offers three distinct play modes—Classic, Enhanced
and Blitz—as well as hundreds of popular game option
combinations.
With Probe you can create and save setups using the
convenient drag-and-drop editor, undo and redo moves,
save games to resume at a later time, playback logs of
completed games and save positions during playback to
explore alternate endings. You can even design your own
custom piece sets and game boards.

If you are a novice, set the skill level to Beginner and
let Probe help you find moves and keep track of the
pieces on the board. If you are an advanced player, set
the skill level to Expert and rely on your own memory to
identify pieces.
What is the

download setups and game logs directly to the Probe
Website, so you can share setups and games with other
players. Explore the Player Forum for discussion on
